Johnny (Luhai) Yang

Luhai is a Hmong Language and Cultural teacher at a K–8 charter school in the Twin Cities area of Minnesota. He is passionate about helping students reconnect with their heritage, strengthen their language skills, and discover the joy of learning a new language. After graduating from the University of Minnesota–Twin Cities, Luhai is excited to continue his educational journey as he begins his path as a Badger. 

Enrolling into the MS in Education: Instructional Coaching program was such a big step I had to take. Being the first in my family to apply and get admitted to a master’s program really allows for growth and excellence. I want to build on my skills to become a better educator. I want to learn about how students learn and how they interact while learning.
