Megan is a fourth-grade teacher. Her journey in education began in 2019 when she started as a teaching assistant for an after-school program in her hometown. She quickly stepped into a leadership role as a program lead and spent three years supporting students before continuing her work in early childhood education at a daycare. Megan earned her bachelor’s degree from the University of Wisconsin–La Crosse in 2024 and expresses excitement to continue her professional growth through the MS in Education: Instructional Coaching program.
The reason why I was interested in the MS in Education: Instructional Coaching program is because I love learning about social emotional learning in the classroom and outside the classroom! I think that this program is going to better help me as a teacher also. At the school I am at, we have instructional coaches at each of our elementary schools. I find it amazing that with this master’s degree I will be able to become an instructional coach. That is another huge reason why I applied for the program. My instructional coach that I have at my school has been so helpful and supportive to me for my first year of teaching. I just hope that one day I can do the same for another teacher.
